Binary Vector A vector has been developed where the three major components of a plasmid have been optimised for the improvement of plant transformation via Agrobacterium, these are: T-DNA and cloning site Plasmid Selection Binary Replication Origin We have also generated a range of reporter and selectable marker genes which have had restriction sites removed by site directed mutagenesis. These genes have been fused to plant promoter-terminators. Cassettes pGreenII, is a modified version of pGreen, with improved plasmid stability.

This and the attached pages present the infomation regarding the various components of the vector, and a basic insight into how the elements function. All the images of the plasmids and cassettes are linked to WinPlas files. With the appropriate software these maps and their sequence can be scrutinised.
